About The Author
Zanni Louise
Zanni Louise is an internationally published Australian author of over 40 books, ranging from picture books to young adult novels (writing as Zanni L. Arnot). Her books have received recognition from prominent speech pathology and educational publishing awards, as well as accolades from the Children’s Book Council of Australia, White Raven’s International Catalogue of Children’s Books, Panda Awards, K.O.A.L.A. Awards, Sakura Book Medal Reading List, and the Australian Book Design Awards, among others. Her middle-grade novel, Queenie in Seven Moves, is currently part of the New South Wales school curriculum.
Zanni holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Creative Writing, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology, and a Certificate in Counselling. She currently resides in an artists’ warehouse in The Netherlands with her two tall teenagers and an even taller husband. Zanni enjoys visiting schools, organizing retreats for adults, and running in forests. She is the founder of The Sunshine House, a growing community for writers and illustrators, and serves as an author ambassador for Room To Read, an organization dedicated to supporting girls’ education and literacy.
Maja Veselinovic is an illustrator and visual artist based in Belgrade, Serbia, where she lives with her family. Drawing became a significant part of her life early on and has remained so ever since. What started on walls and in notebooks evolved into a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. For over 15 years, she has been illustrating children’s books, magazines, and educational projects, skillfully combining traditional and digital techniques. Her work is enriched with hand-painted textures and playful details that imbue each piece with life. Maja’s illustration style is intuitive and poetic, characterized by a whimsical spark. Regardless of whether she is working on a picture book or a quick sketch, Maja strives to create art that is honest, warm, and full of vitality.
