Critics Review

A tour de force… Sigurdardottir handles the different plot strands brilliantly, bringing them together in an unforgettable climax. - Sunday Times, Crime Book of the Month

Three separate stories are gradually and skilfully merged together and bring this readable, enjoyable thriller to a melodramatic finish - Literary Review

The Icelandic queen of Nordic Noir, Yrsa Sigurdardottir’s writing manages to be both spare but sinister. Expect goosebumps to sprout while reading this tale of murder, abuse and other worldly shenanigans in rural Iceland. - Red Magazine on THE UNDESIRED

The stories share an underlying menace that is at once disturbing and compelling. - Daily Mail on THE UNDESIRED
