About The Author
Yael Kanarek
Yael Kanarek is an artist who focuses on the relationship between language and form in various media. Kanarek has exhibited her work in the Whitney Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Jewish Museum, among other places. In addition to her work in fine art, Kanarek is the founder of a fine jewelry company dedicated to text jewelry. In 2016, after a decade of Kabbalah studies, she started regendering the Bible. Kanarek lives and works in New York.
Tamar Biala teaches in various batei midrash, rabbinical schools, and adult education programs in the US and Israel. She edited two Hebrew volumes of Dirshuni: Women’s Midrash (Yediot Books, 2009, 2018) and an English volume of the same name (Brandeis University Press, 2022). She lives in Jerusalem.
