About The Author

Tony Mitton

Tony Mitton is a highly-respected poet, and has written many titles for children, including the picture books illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees: Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus!, Down by the Cool of the Pool, Spookyrumpus (winner of the Sheffield Book Prize, the Dundee Book Award and the Portsmouth Book Award) and Come to Tea on Planet Zum-Zee for Orchard. Tony also won the Smarties Prize. He spends his time writing, giving poetry performances and visiting primary schools. Tony lives in Cambridge.

Guy Parker-Rees’s exuberant and energetic illustrations have made him a household name and one of today’s bestselling children’s illustrators. Notable success include Giraffes Can’t Dance, a worldwide success and recently a Richard & Judy children’s book choice, and, also with Tony Mitton, the highly acclaimed All Afloat on Noah’s Boat.
