About The Author

Theo Inglis

Theo Inglis is a freelance graphic designer and design writer and has taught as a lecturer in Graphic Design at the University of Suffolk. His debut book on design history, Mid-Century Modern Graphic Design, was published by Batsford in May 2019. He was a contributor to Type Directory, published by Thames & Hudson in 2019 and worked as a freelance reporter for Grafik magazine and Monotype from 2016-17.

He has written for AIGA’s Eye on Design, It’s Nice That, Communication Arts magazine, Creative Review, the Financial Times, Computer Arts and the Recorder. Freelance clients have included Pentagram, Penguin Random House, The Poetry School, openDemocracy and a wide variety of independent literary and radical publishers.

Theo holds a BA in Graphic Design from Norwich University of the Arts and an MA in Critical Writing in Art & Design from the Royal College of Art.
