About The Author
Teresa Martinez
Teresa spent her early childhood in a small town in northern Mexico, where she enjoyed playing in the river, walking with cows, and helping to feed the neighbor’s pigs. When her family moved to the city of Monterrey for better educational opportunities, she missed her quiet life in the countryside. A shy child, Teresa found drawing helped her connect with her peers at school.
Although Illustration wasn’t a recognized career path in Mexico at the time, Teresa studied Graphic Design and spent countless hours exploring art books in the university library. She also pursued painting courses and attended a short course at the Leonardo Da Vinci School in Florence, Italy.
Eventually, Teresa became a children’s book illustrator, a career she has pursued ever since. Today, Teresa lives in Puerto Vallarta, creating art for children, much like she did in her school days. She enjoys seeing cows outside her house on a regular basis, which brings her great joy.
