Fat Tony
Born Tony Marnoch, Fat Tony is a DJ with 19 years of sobriety, whose career began in the vibrant London social scene of the 1980s. A close friend of Boy George, he was a regular alongside cultural icons such as Leigh Bowery and Princess Julia, rapidly becoming a fixture in the city’s nightlife. His DJing career has seen him perform for a diverse range of artists, including Prince and Madonna. During the 1990s, he was often seen clubbing with friends like George Michael, Neneh Cherry, and Kate Moss.
After navigating a challenging period marked by addiction and a subsequent stay in rehab, Tony has undergone a significant personal and professional transformation. He has re-emerged as one of the most sought-after DJs in the fashion and dance music industries. He has held long-standing positions as the preferred DJ for Vogue and Versace, and in 2024, he performed at one of John Galliano’s final events for Maison Margiela in Tokyo.
Over the past year, Tony has completed residencies at Hi Ibiza and Pikes, alongside major appearances at festivals and venues such as Glastonbury, Drumsheds, and Warehouse Project. His singles “Right & Exact” and “Men Adore” signaled a critically and commercially successful return to music production. Beyond his music career, Tony is a prominent advocate for the sobriety movement and a dedicated LGBTQ+ activist. He has garnered a new generation of fans through his distinctive and humorous social media presence, characterized by its use of memes. Tony is also the author of the Sunday Times bestseller and Attitude Book Award winner, I Don’t Take Requests.
