Swami Paramananda
Swami Paramananda (1884-1940) was an early Indian teacher who traveled to the United States to spread Vedanta philosophy and religion. In 1909, he founded “Message of the East,” the first Vedanta periodical in the United States. This publication, which ran for 55 years, featured articles, poetry, and commentary on various religions.
