About The Author
Shereen Jog
Shereen Jog grew up in Tanga, in the beautiful coastal region of Tanzania. Her cooking journey began when she met her future husband, who mentioned that he enjoyed home-cooked meals. She learnt the basics of cooking from her mother and it soon became a hobby. Her family appreciates her creativity as she experiments with flavours, using the abundance of fresh organic produce and her multicultural environment to create dishes that reflect the tastes of Arab, Swahili and Indian cuisine, and even that reminiscent of the colonial era. Motherhood has also given her an opportunity to explore new methods of cooking using only natural and organic foods.
