About The Author

Sarah Wallace

Sarah Wallace is an author and book enthusiast with a passion for the power of words. She writes flash fiction, short stories, poetry and children’s books and spent four years as a reviewer for Kids’ Book Review publishing over 100 reviews of children’s books covering all genres and age groups.

Sarah is on the ACT Committee of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and a member of MARION (ACT Writers Centre), the Children’s Book Council of Australia and the Australian Society of Authors. Highlights of her involvement in the writing industry include being a Roving Reporter at the 2019 SCBWI Conference in Sydney and being a judge in the Children’s Book Council of Australia ACT Branch Make Your Own Story Book Competition.

She has a day job in government education policy, holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and postgraduate qualifications in early childhood education. In her spare time Sarah enjoys reading, walking, gardening and spending time with her three children and budgie, Minty.

Michelle Conn is an author and illustrator living on Wadawurrung Country in the coastal town of Torquay Victoria with their husband, two children and Border Collie, Maggie.

“After years of working as a graphic designer and primary school teacher, my love of books and visual storytelling won over and I spend most of my time drawing, writing and wandering around the house in a ‘thinking fog’. I work in both traditional and digital media and illustrate characters and scenes from a range of perspectives. I love playing with composition, light and colour to bring a cinematic look to my work.”
