About The Author

Sally Hughes

Jane McMorland Hunter studied history at Edinburgh University. She has written nine books including Quinces in the Prospect English Kitchen series, For The Love of An Orchard and two titles in the National Trust Garden Cookbook series. She works as a freelance gardener and at Hatchards bookshop in Piccadilly. Sally Hughes studied literature at Canterbury University, New Zealand. She was New Zealand Trade Commissioner to London and ran her own cafe and catering business before going on to manage Books for Cooks, the well-known cookbook shop in Notting Hill. She now works at The National Archives in Kew. Jane and Sally met when they both worked at Books for Cooks where a shared love of food and literature formed the foundation for a firm friendship. Together they have co-authored Berries: Growing and Cooking in the Prospect Books English Kitchen Series.”
