Geoffrey Powell MC wrote numerous acclaimed military history works including Men At Arnhem, The Devil’s Birthday, Plumer; The Soldier’s General. He is also the author of Shan Hackett (Pen and Sword Military, 2004) and wrote on the Suez operation. He died in 2004.
