About the Author

Lauren Sánchez Bezos is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, pilot, and philanthropist. Before becoming a New York Times bestselling children’s book author, she was a little girl with big dreams growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Inspired by her father, a former flight instructor, she dreamed of becoming a pilot, a passion she pursued by earning her pilot’s license in her 40s. This journey, combined with her love of storytelling and adventure, and her experience as a mother, motivated her to write The Fly Who Flew series. Lauren hopes this series will inspire children to follow their dreams and discover that learning differences can be a superpower.
