Philip Guitar grew up in Abilene, Texas. As a youth, he spent time working on the family ranches and participating in various athletics. He was also an avid reader and writer, with a particular fondness for mysteries, horror, and true crime mafia books. He is a former professional poker player with notable wins and many stories to tell about playing with renowned players and celebrities. Philip is a prolific screenwriter and the founder and executive producer of Red Aces Productions, home of the “Texas Thriller.” He wrote and produced the successful and award-winning short film Crude Massacre and the acclaimed documentary Water Wars, narrated by Dennis Quaid. Several of his other projects are currently being shopped or are in development.
Jim Martyka
Jim Martyka is a multipublished author and editor who has worked on over fifty published books across all genres. His notable works include Closing the Gap (the autobiography of NFL Hall of Famer Willie Davis), The Eight Characters of Comedy, Towards the Moon with Fellini, Paddle Out, and The Super Bowls. He is an award-winning journalist and a professional coach and consultant, assisting writers of all experience levels in getting their projects written, pitched, and published. He has worked with various publishers, including the sports publisher Triumph Books. A native of Milwaukee, he currently resides in Los Angeles. Jim is a true crime enthusiast and a competent poker player among friends and family. He is also a former Guinness World Records holder for watching fifty-three and a half hours of movies straight without sleeping, a record that has since been surpassed. He has no plans to attempt to break that record again.
