About The Author
Peter Forbes
Peter Forbes is a science writer and journalist focusing on life sciences and natural history. He studied chemistry and worked for the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and in natural history publishing before transitioning to freelance writing. He resides in London and instructs the Narrative Non-Fiction course at City St George’s, University of London.
His debut full-length non-fiction book, The Gecko’s Foot: How Scientists are Taking a Leaf from Nature’s Book, an introductory work on biomimicry in engineering and materials, was longlisted for the Royal Society/Aventis Prize. He subsequently published Dazzled and Deceived: Mimicry and Camouflage, which earned him the Warwick Prize for Writing.
