Norman Thelwell
Norman Thelwell (1923-2004) began his career in 1952 by publishing his first cartoon in the satirical British magazine Punch. He maintained a long-standing relationship with the publication for 25 years, contributing over 1,000 cartoons, including 60 front covers. Thelwell was celebrated for his astute social commentary and his unique brand of zany humor. His 34 published books have achieved worldwide sales in the millions and have been translated into multiple languages.
