Morty Diamond
Morty Diamond is a trans and queer therapist, artist, and writer based in California. A licensed clinical social worker with an MSW from San Francisco State University, he is Grants Coordinator and instructor in the School of Social Work and also maintains a private psychotherapy practice. Morty is the creator of To the End, a weekly salon that supports LGBTQ+ people navigating divorce and its aftermath. His anthologies Trans/Love and From the Inside Out: FTM and Beyond are both published by Manic D Press, and he is the director of the film Trans Entities (2008), which screened at more than 30 film festivals and is held in multiple university collections. Drawing on his own experience of queer divorce and years of gender-justice activism and art-making, Morty brings nuance and care to conversations about LGBTQ+ relationships, loss, and transformation.
