Michael Bearden
Michael Bearden is a highly respected and accomplished music director, arranger, composer, conductor, and keyboardist. He began playing piano in his childhood on the South Side of Chicago and has since collaborated with over 500 artists, including Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Ray Charles, Jennifer Lopez, and Lady Gaga, for whom he has served as Music Director since 2013.
Bearden was the final Music Director for Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” tour and supervised the musical direction for the 97th Oscars. He has received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Music Direction, including for Lady Gaga’s record-breaking Super Bowl LI Halftime Show and for “One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga.”
His extensive credits include film, television specials, world tours, award shows, and philanthropic projects. Bearden also founded TOMiC Recordings to promote artistic freedom, scored documentaries and feature films, and continues to significantly influence global popular music.
