Melinda Brown is a Ngunnawal woman residing in the Northern Rivers Bundjalung Nation. She holds a Master’s degree in Indigenous Healing and Trauma. Mel embraced her clairvoyant skills many years ago, embarking on a journey to understand that her spiritual beliefs extended beyond her Aboriginal culture to encompass diverse beliefs from across the world.
Mel’s unique approach highlights that spirituality is an individual possession, unbound by labels or singular understandings of life and creation. She emphasizes that human spiritual needs are often best met through a multifaceted approach to belief systems.
As a professional Speaker and Trainer, Mel is recognized internationally for her expertise in Aboriginal cultural competency and lateral violence.
Mel has received accolades for her work in service provision for Aboriginal families. She was awarded an ACT Public Service Award for “Most Improved Services to Aboriginal Children and Families in the ACT” by the ACT Chief Minister. In 2011, NSW Industry & Investment recognized Mel as one of the top three Aboriginal businesswomen in NSW.
