Mark Westmoquette holds a PhD in astrophysics, is an ordained Zen monk, and a yoga and mindfulness teacher. He is the author of The Mindful Universe, Mindful Thoughts for Stargazers, and Zen and the Art of Dealing with Difficult People. This is Mark’s first children’s book, inspired by his efforts to explain the universe’s wonders to his own son.

Kiki Kita is a Brooklyn-based illustrator who spent her childhood in Nagoya, Japan, and Dallas, Texas. She pursued illustration and art history at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Kiki possesses a strong foundation in traditional art forms like watercolor, oil, and acrylic painting, though her current practice is predominantly digital. Her illustrations have garnered recognition from American Illustration and the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles.
