About The Author
Mark Hasara
Mark Hasara operated the Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker for twenty-four years in the Air Force. His career began during the Reagan Administration, supporting Strategic Air Command’s nuclear deterrent mission. In August 1990, he moved to Okinawa, Japan, flying missions across the Pacific Rim and Southeast Asia. He participated in combat missions during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. As a Duty Officer in the Tanker Airlift Control Center, he managed five hundred monthly airlift and air refueling missions. After retiring from the Air Force, Mark worked at Rockwell Collins for seven years in engineering, designing military aircraft cockpits. He became a full-time author and defense industry consultant in 2014.
