About The Author
Maria Gill
Maria Gill has visited schools throughout New Zealand for the last twenty years, sharing her 60+ books with children. In 2020, Storylines awarded Maria the Margaret Mahy Medal for services to children’s literature.
Alistair Hughes has illustrated several children’s books including Kea: Curiouser and Curiouser, Snapper: The Real Story, and Ice Breaker! An Epic Antarctic Adventure. He has also recently authored and illustrated The New Zealand Night Sky.
