What They're Saying

Critics Review

“The best work to date by one of the greatest talents of the German-speaking comic world.” — Andreas Platthaus, Frankfurter Allgemeine“Kummer draws his neon-synthetic universe with a great sense of tragedy, using minimalist style to create epic images.” — Michael Hüster, PPM“Magical and unpredictable… Kummer’s clean lines and bold neon colors propel the proceedings, lending a streamlined Hergé-esque simplicity to tangled plots and unexpected settings.” — Publishers Weekly“Ionheart is everything great about American-flavored sci-fantasy epics: a brave knight, a magical kingdom, anachronistic tech, epic sword fights, etc. It’s the exact perfect fare for Lukas Kummer to make his English-language debut.” — AIPT“Glorious… What begins as a fantasy becomes a complex meditation on what life is and what it’s worth, yet it’s also an extremely creative extrapolation of science-fiction possibilities and a brilliant stitching together of past and present…. Ionheart is one hell of a trip and an absolute stunner.” — Slings & Arrows“An ingenious tale, with a plot that twists in on itself while leaping across timelines.” — Comix Island
