Lucas Sin

Lucas Sin is a chef from Hong Kong dedicated to fostering a global appreciation for Asian cuisine. His culinary journey began at sixteen in his hometown, Hong Kong, eventually leading him to operate restaurants from his dorm room at Yale University.

He honed his skills at esteemed institutions such as Modernist Cuisine in Seattle, Kikunoi Honten in Kyoto, and Michelin-starred establishments in Hong Kong and New York. Subsequently, he co-founded Junzi Kitchen and Nice Day Chinese, two casual Chinese restaurant concepts established in New York and Connecticut with the mission of revitalizing Chinese cuisine in the American culinary landscape.

Lucas has received significant recognition, including being named a Forbes 30 under 30 honoree, a Food and Wine Best New Chef, a Star Chef Rising Star, and an Eater Young Gun. He currently divides his time between New York and Hong Kong, contributing to culinary education through appearances on YouTube channels like National Geographic, Food52, and Bon Appetit. His work with Bon Appetit earned him a James Beard Media Award.
