Critics Review

Here is a great tool for counselors. By studying how Christ dealt with those who tried to manipulate Him, Lou suggests several practical principles for those who find themselves either being manipulated or manipulating others.–Stuart W. Scott Professor of Biblical Counseling at The Master’s University, Graduate ProgramHere is a series of booklets that will provide the pastor and interested layman with a veritable arsenal of material for attacking problems that people have! In them, my fishing buddy, Lou Priolo, has cast his lure accurately and will retrieve many a roaming fish from the problems of bitterness, lying, manipulation, divorce, and wondering about his self-image. All fishers of men should buy and distribute them in counseling and generally. Churches should fill their tract racks with them. They will bless many.–Jay AdamsWhen I worked with Lou Priolo at the Atlanta Biblical Counseling Center, he taught me how to help counselees recognize manipulation and how to biblically respond. In this booklet, he tells his readers. I highly recommend this booklet to you - read it, study it, and complete the practical exercises at the end. You will not only learn how to honor God in your response but also how to help the manipulator to not “be wise in his own eyes.–Martha Peace, Biblical Counselor and author of The Excellent Wife and Damsels in Distress
