Lisa Perlman Greathouse
Lisa Perlman Greathouse began her writing career as a journalist, spending over a decade at The Associated Press. During her tenure, she reported on a wide range of stories, from interviewing presidential candidates to covering tragic events like plane crashes. Following her journalism career, she transitioned to a communications agency, where she established a custom publishing division and created award-winning magazines for prominent clients.
Her professional writing experience, coupled with a strong dedication to public education, inspired her to write children’s books. For the past 20 years, Lisa has authored dozens of titles for Teacher Created Materials, primarily nonfiction readers focusing on science and social studies. One of her personal favorites is a biography she wrote about President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
A dedicated advocate for public education, Lisa has also served on her local school board. She is a parent to two adult children and resides in Southern California with her partner.
