About The Author

Lesley Blanch

Lesley Blanch was appointed MBE in 2001 and awarded the medal of Officier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture. She wrote twelve books of biography, memoir and cookery. She was ahead of her time and prescient in the way she attempted to bridge West and East. Her most famous book, The Wilder Shores of Love has never been out of print since first published in 1954.
