I love Julia Stefano’s recipe book.
I bought a Marcato Pasta maker before my Italian mother in law came to visit a couple of years ago. She uses it when she is here to everyone’s great delight, but when she leaves, the pasta maker stays untouched. That is about to change! I am not a very accomplished chef, but as I read Julia Stefano’s book, -with its beautiful illustrations and detailed instructions, I feel inspired to try out all these recipes. They look authentic and yet possible for me to do.-Ravioli, spaghetti, lasagna, classic egg pasta dough, spinach pasta dough… all sort sorts of pasta dough…and a variety of recipes for sauces…I cannot wait to get started! I have learned from my Italian mother in law that it can be deceptively hard to make the perfect dough, so I have avoided making fresh pasta…but this book shows me how to get it right through thorough step by step instructions.

This is an excellent book for those who have a pasta maker, but are too afraid to use it. Instructions are given to help find the perfect thickness for common pasta types and there are a plethora of recipes to make your fresh pasta sing. I just go a pasta machine and spotted this book on kindle for a really reasonable cost.Very surprised at the content, informative, well written and the range of recipes both western and eastern from veg to meats to seafood is very broad.l can see that this Jewell of a book will be one l shall be dipping into time and again as the recipes look fun do do and look like they will keep my hungry family happy for some time.Highly recommended. - Terry (Amazon customer review)
