About The Author
J.S. Walker
Has spent many decades running highly successful companies which initially specialised in the development of cutting edge embedded systems for critical applications. As his companies technologies developed and spread world wide he also became instrumental in the creation of validation systems and protocols. His companies became world leading in the development of cold chain management products and applications including global mapping for the support of medical directives and standards.
Following retirement he has returned to working on vintage electronic and mechanical systems of all kinds which is how his career started. He has written several books on these topics including how to build a complex microprocessor from discrete transistors and another on how to design magnetic core memory systems.
He currently undertakes no charge repairs of vintage machines for collectors and enthusiasts while also creating reproduction boards and components aimed at keeping these old devices operational.
