John Maclean
John Maclean is a motivational speaker and personal development coach. At the age of 22, he was struck by a truck while riding his bike and woke from a coma as a paraplegic. Despite this, he became the first wheelchair athlete to complete the Hawaii Ironman World Championship triathlon, swim the English Channel, and represent his country at the Olympic and Paralympic games. Over 25 years as a wheelchair athlete, John competed in over 20 challenging sporting events. In 2013, he began working towards his dream of walking again and has since continued to set new personal goals and improve his mobility. John is the founder of The John Maclean Foundation, which assists children in wheelchairs and their families. He lives in Sydney with his wife, Amanda, and son, Jack.
Mark Tabb is the author or co-author of over twenty books, including Living with Less, the Upside of Downsizing Your Life and the Gold Medallion finalist Out of the Whirlwind. He collaborated with Stephen Baldwin on the New York Times bestseller The Unusual Suspect and is currently working with Alec Baldwin on his book, A Promise to Ourselves.
