Jim Widess

Jim Widess has been repairing all types of woven furniture professionally for over 50 years. The owner of the Caning Shop, he is an honorary lifetime member of the Seat Weavers’ Guild, the only professional organization that supports chair caners in the US, England, Canada, and Australia. He lives in Berkeley, California.

Bruce W. Miller owned Phoenix Books in San Luis Obispo, California, for more than 35 years. He is the author of several books, including Chumash: A Picture of Their World, The Gabrielino, and Handmade Silk Flowers.
