Critic Reviews

“From reviews of the previous edition: 'This book is an amazing tool, unlike others of its kind, it explains things in short, clear and simple terminology! Definitely a must for healthcare courses!' 'The book starts off with a chapter on history taking and examination which is a good introduction to this speciality. From there, the normal physiology of menstruation right through to child birth is well explained. This seems like a logical progression. Chapters focus on complications and diseases, firstly in obstetrics and then in gynaecology. In all of the chapters there are numerous diagrams, tables and photographs to help explain the topic more clearly. The anatomy is also mentioned within chapters and in a stand-alone chapter at the end which is very useful. . This is the best book in this speciality that I have come across and I would highly recommend it.' 'The textbook I used in medical school at University of Queensland. Just the basics and the essentials. Great for med-school level.' '. very concise, and straight to the point . basically it covers almost all the topics in OB-GYN ... very good for reviews and for clerkship.' 'This a great book for students just starting an intensive obstetrics and gynaecology rotation. The layout and colour in the book is good but not overwhelming and makes for easy reading. Keeps to the essentials without information overload for such an intense subject as O&G.'”
