What They're Saying
Critics Review
“Your Last First Date is like the book Kitchen Confidential, but about the L.A. dating scene… . Part memoir, it’s also filled with juicy tidbits like dates that start after 7 p.m. are statistically more successful than dates that start earlier… . It’s filled with lots of stories and also some dating tips, like how to pick a place for your first date (it should have easy parking) and also how to navigate dating in the age of AI.” —Sarah Gelman, CBS Saturday Morning“Samuels Kuba’s lively debut dating guide provides an unvarnished look into the high-stakes profession of celebrity matchmaking… . Samuels Kuba stresses that genuine connection is rooted in vulnerability, self-awareness, and a willingness to revise expectations in service of true connection… . This will enlighten and reassure singles seeking direction.” —Publishers Weekly“A bold, unfiltered look at the dating industry through the eyes of three singles, who are guaranteed to make you feel more human, less alone, and hopeful about finding love.” —Patti Stanger “Jaydi’s book is full of humor and heart. It’s a wonderfully relatable narrative we can all connect with.” —Seth MacFarlane“Samuels Kuba does good service by helping her readers, male and female, concentrate on who they are as people and what they really want, while also teaching useful social skills such as mirroring the behavior they’d like to see in a potential partner… . A good primer for setting realistic but actionable romantic goals.” —Kirkus Reviews
