James Finley, PhD
James Finley, PhD, is a contemplative teacher, former Trappist monk, and psychotherapist. He is the author of Merton’s Palace of Nowhere, a significant work in contemporary Christian mysticism. Finley studied with Thomas Merton at the Abbey of Gethsemani and earned his doctorate from Fuller Seminary, with a dissertation focusing on the relationship between empirical science and mystical experience.
