Critics Review
“I felt good when I finished the book. There were a lot of laughs, not sure they were intended. The scene at the cathedral when Jake got up and tried to flee from God’s presence moved me deeply. The last two chapters were, well, Wow! I’m thinking about returning to the church. It’s been a lot of years. I want my husband to read it.”
- Bobby Rose Ezell
“An excellent read and a wonderful story. Our book club read the draft together. This true story of a young boy’s journey to achieve his dream has many twists, turns, and surprises. The Alabama chapter and the ending made us cry. We think it would make a great movie. We loved it!”
- Marie Rex and Hedwig Schmidt.
“A fascinating story, and the only one like it. Jake Winston is truly Jake the Prodigal Son, and his story is one filled with humor and humility, faith and folly. The conclusion is sure to leave any reader benevolent and serene.”
- B. J. Salter
