Critics Review
“H.W. ‘Harry’ Crocker III, is perhaps the most incredibly versatile author America has yet to produce in the 21st century. Whether he is writing fiction, or about military history, current political events, religious history, or virtually any other topic, his clear prose is a delight to read, and his meticulous research is irrefutable. Crocker carries his reader along with him into the field of espionage and the work of the legendary Office of Strategic Services (OSS), as the Nazis conquer most of Europe and North Africa, World War II nears its tipping point, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance. I don’t want to give anything away, but Kruger’s Korps is a continuation of the Crocker tradition of excellence. The reader will not be disappointed.” – Dr. Samuel W. Mitcham, Jr., author of Desert Fox, Bust Hell Wide Open, Voices from the Confederacy, and many other books“H.W. Crocker III is always worth reading, whether it’s his panoramic history of the church, his fanciful fictional reimagining of the Wild West, or this newest adventure set during World War II. Kruger’s Korps is animated by its author’s wit and wisdom, offering an all too rare balance of levitas and gravitas which make it much more than a mere historical thriller. The reader who opens its pages should expect to be amazed by the breadth of Crocker’s knowledge of history, literature, and popular culture, all of which spice the narrative with literary flair.” – Joseph Pearce, author of Frodo’s Journey, Death Comes for the War Poets, and The Quest for Shakespeare, among many other books“Reminiscent of Joseph Heller’s Catch-22… it’s a well-written story with an entertaining plot, amusing characters, and enough thought-provoking depth to be more than simply a wartime thriller.” – Smoky Mountain News
