About The Author

Homer

Homer is a legendary ancient Greek poet, traditionally said to be the author of the two great epics of Greek history: the Iliad and the Odyssey. Both books are considered landmarks in human literature, and Homer is therefore often cited as the starting point of Western literary and historical tradition. University of Pennsylvania: M.A., Ph.D. Graduate Group in Ancient History. Dissertation Title: “The Origins of Aphrodite.” 1991–2000

Samuel Butler (1835–1902) was an English novelist, translator, and artist. He is best known for his novel The Way of All Flesh and his translations of Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey.
