Harry Redknapp
Born in 1947 in Poplar, East London, Harry Redknapp began his football career as a trainee at Tottenham before signing for West Ham. He played for the Hammers between 1965 and 1972, also having spells with Bournemouth and the Seattle Sounders.
An injury prompted a move into management and coaching, where his career has seen him manage Bournemouth, West Ham, Portsmouth (twice), Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, and QPR. He lifted the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008 and guided Spurs into the Champions League in 2010. In 2018, Harry was crowned King of the Jungle in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
Harry has authored three bestselling books: his autobiography Always Managing, the football history book A Man Walks On To a Pitch, and his survival guide It Shouldn’t Happen to a Manager.
He is married to Sandra and is the father of Mark and Jamie Redknapp. He is also the uncle of Frank Lampard Jr. Harry is a devoted owner of two bulldogs, Lulabelle and Barney.
