Dave McKean
Dave McKean is an award-winning illustrator recognized for his work on several seminal comics. McKean’s collected short stories, Pictures That Tick, received the Victoria & Albert Museum Book of the Year Award, and his short film Neon won first prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival.
His extensive portfolio includes illustrations, photographs, and designs for hundreds of CD covers, comic covers, and book covers, notably the entire Sandman series. McKean has collaborated on print and film projects with notable figures such as John Cale, Stephen King, the Rolling Stones, Lars Von Trier, and SF Said. He has also created advertising campaigns for major brands including Kodak, Nike, BMW Mini, and Smirnoff.
Furthermore, McKean directed the Jim Henson Productions film MirrorMask, which he co-wrote with Neil Gaiman. He currently resides in the Kent countryside in England.
