Critics Review

“Gina challenges us to choose through transition to walk into some of the deepest, hardest places of our heart with courage and tenacity. With authenticity and grace, she reminds us that as we face our fears, losses, and grief, and lay them at the feet of Jesus, we find ourselves deeply anchored in Him.” – Meg Robbins and David Robbins, president of FamilyLife * From the Publisher *
“I didn’t know how much I needed the gentle insight and wisdom in Making Peace with Change. I suppose it’s because I never really realized how deeply unsettling transition can be. If anything, I thought my unease was mostly about my own particular inability to cope with loneliness and feelings of intense vulnerability and isolation. No wonder I felt so utterly upended and unmoored. As I read Making Peace with Change, not only did I learn more about myself and God’s role in the midst of a transition, but I found the book to be encouraging, helpful, hopeful, and healing. I trust you will too. Transition happens to all of us. And in this book Gina functions as a skilled guide for us whether we’re about to approach a transition, in the midst of it, or reflecting back upon it.” – Marlena Graves, author of A Beautiful Disaster and The Way Up is Down
“In Making Peace with Change, Gina Brenna Butz candidly reveals her struggles with life changes and the disequilibrium she experienced. She offers her readers practical, transformative truths to help us navigate circumstances when we are floundering in the riptide of transition. Butz invites us along on her journey through multiple life-altering transitions and proves to be an indispensable companion for our own.” – Tammy Perlmutter, editor and curator of The Mudro
“Whether you resist change or seek it out, Gina Butz will lead you through it with peace and grace and some great stories. If transitions unsettle you, she will hand you an anchor that holds. And if anything new is a great adventure for you, Making Peace with Change will steer you to wise choices and solid ground. Firmly rooted in God’s Word and Gina’s personal experiences, this book will provide strong lifelines for your journey.” – Judy Douglass, author, speaker, encourager, and director of Cru Women’s Resources
Making Peace with Change invites you to see the ‘holy ground’ of life’s transitions as a place to experience Jesus more deeply and anchor your life in Him. Don’t miss this book!” – Heather Holleman, PhD, speaker and author of Seated with Christ: Living Freely in a Culture of Compariso
“For Gina Brenna Butz, change is a gift—a hard gift of challenge and loss to be sure, yet a gift of beauty that also brings blessing and growth… . Filled with warm personal faith and God-inspired hope, this book makes a delightful companion in the midst of change.” – April Yamasaki, pastor and author of Sacred Pauses and Four Gifts
“For those navigating transition, Making Peace with Change is an invitation to honor God’s nearness to us as we move through the process. With vulnerability and relatable storytelling, Gina Butz equips readers to understand that sorrow and joy are intertwined—and that is exactly the key to moving through transition.” – Aundi Kolber, therapist and author of Try Softer
