Gertrude Chandler Warner
Born in Putnam, Connecticut, on April 16, 1890, Gertrude Chandler Warner dreamed of becoming an author from the age of five. She wrote stories for her Grandfather Carpenter, gifting him a new story each Christmas. Ms. Warner is best remembered as the author of The Boxcar Children Mysteries.

She lives and works in Berlin with her partner and their dog.
