About The Author

Gav Thorpe

Gav Thorpe is a prolific author with a long career at Black Library, writing extensively across the Warhammer universes. His notable works for the Horus Heresy series include the novels The First Wall, Deliverance Lost, Angels of Caliban, and Corax, as well as the novella The Lion. He has also authored Luther: First of the Fallen and Rogal Dorn: The Emperor’s Crusader.

For Warhammer 40,000, Thorpe’s contributions include the novel Indomitus, the Dawn of Fire novel The Wolftime, and The High Kâhl’s Oath, among many others. In the Age of Sigmar setting, he wrote the novel The Red Feast. In 2017, he received the David Gemmell Legend Award for his novel Warbeast. Gav Thorpe resides and works in Nottingham.
