About The Author

Fabian Nicieza

Fabian Nicieza’s career began with Marvel’s Psi-Force and backup stories in Classic X-Men. He has since written for most of Marvel’s major super-teams, including Alpha Flight, The Avengers, The New Warriors, The Thunderbolts, and the X-Men. Alongside artist Rob Liefeld, Nicieza transformed New Mutants into the successful X-Force.

Nicieza has also written for solo heroes such as Cable, Deadpool (later combined in Cable & Deadpool), Gambit, and Nomad. He edited Marvel’s Star imprint, contributed to major X-Men events like “X-Cutioner’s Song” and “Phalanx Covenant,” and penned limited series such as Adventures of Captain America and Citizen V and the V-Battalion.

His work outside of Marvel includes titles like JLA, Justice League Adventures, The 99, Turok, and X-Files.

Patrick “Patch” Zircher began his illustration career in the late 1980s, working on RPG-based comics for Eclipse and 3D comics for Blackthorne, as well as drawing Green Hornet for Now Comics. He has since become a sought-after artist.

His notable Marvel credits include New Warriors, Venom: Along Came a Spider, Star Trek: Early Voyages, Iron Man: The Iron Age, Thunderbolts, Cable & Deadpool, Iron Man, Hulk, Mystery Men, and Savage Avengers.

Mark Brooks, the son of a commercial artist and a minister, studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design. After showcasing his talents on Transformers for Dreamwave Productions and Voltron for Devil’s Due, Brooks joined Marvel as the penciler for the all-ages Marvel Age Spider-Man.

In addition to illustrating the early appearances of the teenage heroine Arana with writer Fiona Avery in Amazing Fantasy, Brooks has drawn Amazing Spider-Man, Cable & Deadpool, New X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man Annual, X-Men Unlimited, Avengers: The Initiative, and Dark Reign: Young Avengers.
