Dr Niraj Lal
Dr. Niraj Lal (Author)
Dr. Niraj (Nij) Lal is an ANU Visiting Fellow and the host of the ABC’s kids’ podcast Imagine This. He earned his PhD in physics from the University of Cambridge as a Gates Scholar in 2012. His accolades include the 2021 Celestino Eureka Prize for Promoting Understanding of Science and the 2022 Royal Societies of Australia and New Zealand Piasecki Prize for Outstanding Writing on Social Change. He resides in Melbourne with his partner, Sally, and their three children.
Aska (Illustrator)
Aska (pronounced Ash-ka) is a force of creative energy. She is an award-winning graphic novelist, a former quantum physicist, and a highly engaging and popular presenter. With over a dozen published books and comics to her name, Aska is deeply passionate about visual literacy and teaching others how to “write with pictures.” Her latest release, a YA graphic novel titled The Friendship Paradox (Allen & Unwin), is a thrilling blend of a physics road trip and a story about navigating friendships.
