Dr Beatriz Chadour-Sampson
Beatriz Chadour-Sampson is an international jewellery historian, author, and lecturer based in England. Her publications cover a wide range of periods, from the classical world to the present day.
She completed her doctoral thesis on the Italian goldsmith Antonio Gentili da Faenza in 1980. She has also authored catalogues for the jewellery collection of the Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Cologne (1985) and for the Alice and Louis Koch Collection of rings, Switzerland (1994). In her role as curator for the Alice and Louis Koch Collection, she served the Swiss National Museum, Zurich.
Beatriz was a consultant curator for the redesign of the William and Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and served as guest curator for its “Pearls” exhibition in 2013-2014. She has also worked with the Dallas Museum of Art on the Inge Asenbaum collection of contemporary jewellery.
