What They're Saying

Critics Review

“D. J. Steinberg’s charming story of a man trying to find his beloved hen in the big city is brought to wonderful, cartoony life by Susan Batori’s fantastic illustrations. Laugh-out-loud humor mixed with ‘Where’s Waldo?’–esque hide-and-seek makes for a perfect bedtime read. Egg-cellent! (Sorry, that pun was fowl.)”—Neil Sharpson, author of Don’t Trust Fish

“This unremittingly clever and funny tale harbors a seek-and-find aspect that’s cleverly incorporated into Batori’s digital art, which at times calls to mind Mad magazine at its zany best. If ever there was a story that inspired readers to gleefully yell at the protagonist (“Look on your head!”), it’s this one.”—Kirkus, starred review
