About The Author
Deborah Needleman
Deborah Needleman, founding editor in chief of domino, was recognized as one of the media industry’s top 15 talents by Women’s Wear Daily during the magazine’s launch year. She has since received numerous awards for the magazine’s immediate success and its innovative approach. Deborah’s extensive publishing background began at the Washington Post, where she served as photography editor for the Sunday magazine. In 1996, she joined Conde Nast’s House & Garden as photo editor for its relaunch. Later, she became editor-at-large, covering garden design, landscape architecture, and interior design. Deborah’s writing has also appeared in Slate and the New York Times.
Sara served as creative director of domino, leading the magazine’s art, style, and photo teams. Before joining domino’s launch team, she was the creative director for the test issue of Living Room, from Meredith Publishing. Sara’s editorial experience also includes positions at Martha Stewart, Glamour, and Metropolitan Home.
Dara Caponigro has been with domino since its inception, overseeing the magazine’s style editors, directing and styling interior shoots, and writing the monthly column “Ask Dara.” In 2005, Dara led “The domino Design Project,” enlisting industry experts to create decorated homes for 40 New York families in need. Prior to domino, Dara directed the decorating departments at Elle Decor and House Beautiful.
