About The Author

Dean Nicholson

Dean Nicholson (Author)

Dean Nicholson left Dunbar, Scotland in 2018 with the ambition to cycle the world but his travels were interrupted when he found Nala, an abandoned kitten near the Bosnia-Montenegro border. From then on it was set: Nala and Dean set out to travel the world together, learning about each other and the world we live in along the way - from discovering the problem with plastic pollution and meeting refugees to finding lots of other animals in need of help.

In September 2020, Dean’s first book for adults was published, Nala’s World, which spent two weeks on the Sunday Times bestseller list. Now he has written a version for children to enjoy too.

Frann Preston-Gannon (Illustrator)
