Bjorklund, PhD, Professor of Psychology, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, and author of How Children Invented Humanity This is the most comprehensive and scientifically accurate volume on the evolution of human sex differences. It is superbly written and fascinating from start to finish. Anyone interested in sex differences-and that amp rsquo s everyone-should read this book. - David M. Buss, PhD, Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Texas at Austin, and author of The Evolution of Desire: Strategies of Human Mating and Evolutionary Psychology: The New Science of the Mind Male, Female is a superb introduction to the science of sex differences, and one with a real difference: it seeks to explain the differences between women and men, rather than just describe them. The book is both an invaluable resource for researchers and a pleasure to read. - Steven Pinker, Johnstone Professor of Psychology, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, and author of How the Mind Works and The Blank Slate Geary demonstrates in Male, Female just how much understanding of sex differences can be achieved by looking at human development through evolutionary lenses.
