Dan Barry
Dan Barry, born in 1923, began his long comics career in 1941 at Funnies Inc. Comic. He later worked for Timely, Feature Comics, and Fawcett. After serving in the US Air Force, Barry assisted Burne Hogarth on the Tarzan newspaper strip before taking over the daily strip in 1947. In 1951, he revived the Flash Gordon daily strip, and in 1968, he also took over the Sunday strip. He continued to draw Flash Gordon for nearly 50 years and drew comics until his death in 1997 at the age of 74.
